Peer Support Specialist Training

This training program prepares peer support specialists to provide compassionate, recovery-oriented support in mental health and educational settings. Led by Dr. Robert L. Booker, it covers the peer role, ethical boundaries, active listening, individualized recovery planning, collaboration within healthcare consulting, and participation in mental health initiatives. Learners will practice approaches that respect lived experience, protect confidentiality, and connect people with appropriate resources. The program is designed to align with the standards and recovery-focused mission of The Recovery Association of America.
